What is the voice guide?
On the sign-up screens and the Dashboard tour, Sparkify reads the instructions out loud so you can follow along without reading every line.
How do I hear the guide in a different language than the app?
You can keep the app in one language and have the guide speak another — for example, the app in English with the guide spoken in Urdu. The text on screen always stays in the app language; only the voice changes.
- Open the language screen (menu → Settings → Change Language, or the language screen you see when you first open the app).
- Pick your app language from the cards at the top.
- Scroll to Spoken language and tap the language you want to hear. A short sample plays straight away.
Choose Same as app language to go back to the default.
Why does Urdu sound like Hindi?
Phones don't include an Urdu voice, so the guide is read in Hindi, which is close enough to Urdu for these short instructions. The words on screen stay in Urdu script.
How do I turn the voice off?
Tap the speaker icon on any guide screen. It stays off everywhere until you tap it again.
How do I hear a step again?
On the Dashboard tour, tap Replay on the card. On the sign-up screens, tap the replay symbol that replaces the speaker once the guide finishes.
